Paws for the Cause Dog Wash

We held our fifth annual Paws for a Cause dog wash on August 3, 2019 to benefit Marion Polk Food Share and SafeHaven Humane Society. There was live music, on-site food trucks, craft and pet vendors, raffle prizes and more.

Despite the 90 degree heat, over 85 dogs were washed. The event generated $500 for Marion Polk Food Share and $500 for SafeHaven Humane Society, as well as three large barrels filled with canned goods and pet food that was distributed to our partnering charities.

Low-Cost Vaccines & Licensing

In July, we once again partnered with Marion County Dog Shelter to offer free exams as well as low-cost vaccinations and rabies licensing to the community.

Petting Zoo at SummerFest

We hosted a petting zoo this year at the 2019 Stayton SummerFest in Stayton. There was a great turn-out and everyone enjoyed meeting all of the animals. Enjoy some photos!

Low-Cost Vaccines & Licensing

In November of 2018, Stayton Veterinary Hospital partnered with Marion County Dog Shelter to provide low cost veterinary services to the community. Attendants could bring their dogs for free exams, low cost vaccines, and low cost licensing through Marion County. In total, 41 dogs were vaccinated and 51 rabies licenses were renewed.

Dog Wash/Food Drive Results

Stayton Veterinary Hospital held our fourth annual Paws for the Cause dog wash/canned food drive to benefit Marion Polk Food Share and Safe Haven Humane Society on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Everyone had a blast getting wet in the heat and working toward a good cause. We raised $395 in cash and over 285 lbs. of canned food for Marion Polk Food Share and $395 in cash and a large variety of dog food and treats for Safe Haven Humane Society
